Radio DJ Scott Mills faced police questioning in 2018 over historical allegations of sexual offences involving a teenage boy. The veteran broadcaster, known for his long career on BBC Radio 1, cooperated with investigators during the inquiry into the claims which dated back several years.

The case against Mills was officially dropped in 2019 after the Crown Prosecution Service determined there was insufficient evidence to proceed with charges. A police spokesperson confirmed that no further action would be taken, bringing an end to the investigation that had cast a shadow over Mills' personal and professional life during the previous year.
